| Referral code | Discount | Effective spot fee | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| DEAL | 10% off trading fees | 0.45% (down from 0.50%) | New accounts, at sign-up |
The 10% is the standard discount Fomo gives with any referral code. DEAL adds a 12.5% fee cashback in USDC on top, paid by the code owner. Fomo itself pays no cashback.
Before you sign up
Fomo only takes a referral code when the account is created. Open the invite link fomo.family/r/deal first, then sign up (or enter DEAL if a code box appears). There is no field to add a code later, and a recorded referrer can't be changed. If you used the link but no referrer was recorded, go to Profile > Settings > Help and Support > Contact Support. Full walk-through: how to use a Fomo referral code.
How Fomo works, in short
Fomo is a trading app for iOS, Android and the web (fomo.family). Your account comes with two wallets, one for Solana and one for EVM networks, and no seed phrase to write down. Both are non-custodial: the private keys belong to you, and no one at Fomo can move your tokens. One cash balance covers Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain and Arc. You can also follow traders, watch a real-time feed of trades and check a leaderboard.
Step by step: from the DEAL link to your first buy and sell
- Open the invite link. Start at fomo.family/r/deal, on your phone or a computer. Signing up through this link is what attaches the code.
- Create the account. Use your Apple ID or Google account to register. Fomo creates your wallets at sign-up, with no lengthy verification.
- Add money. The Deposit screen only shows the methods your account can use:
- USDC on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad or Ethereum. Pick the network, copy the deposit address, and send only USDC on that same network.
- USDG on Robinhood Chain (minimum 0.50 USDG), which converts into USDC in your Solana cash balance.
- Debit card, bank-issued only. Prepaid and virtual cards are declined, and availability depends on your country.
- Apple Pay or Pay with Coinbase, where shown. Apple Pay can also buy a specific token directly.
More detail: Fomo deposits and withdrawals.
- Find the token. Tap Search in the bottom bar and type the token's name or its contract address. Anyone can copy a name, so the contract address is the safer match. You can also browse Home > Tokens. Tap the star on a token's page to add it to your watchlist.
- Check it. Look at its label, its liquidity and its holders. The checklist below takes a minute.
- Tap Buy and read the quote. Before you confirm, the fee summary shows Fomo's fee. On networks other than Solana, a second line shows the network fee. If a token carries a severe warning and you have never traded it, Fomo asks you to confirm "I understand the risks." A confirmed blockchain trade can't be reversed.
- Sell later. Selling is a second trade with its own fee. The minimum sale is 2 USDC on most networks and 5 USDC on Ethereum. Smaller leftovers ("dust") are hidden by default.
What each Tokens tab shows
| Filter | What it lists | Plain note |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto | Majors like BTC, ETH and SOL | Fomo's lowest fee: 0.05% per trade |
| Trending | Tokens weighted by trading volume | Busy doesn't mean safe |
| Most held | The most-held tokens | Popular is not the same as checked |
| Graduated | Tokens that recently left the bonding curve | Very volatile; the app shows a caution banner |
| Bonding | Tokens still on the bonding curve, with progress shown | The earliest stage; very high risk |
| Gainers | Top 24-hour percentage gainers | Past gains don't predict the next move |
| Community | Checkmarked tokens whose creators are on Fomo | Still not a guarantee |
A plain note on Graduated and Bonding. These tabs hold the newest tokens in the app. Anyone can launch one, Fomo itself calls them very volatile, and newly graduated tokens start out unverified. Only use money you can afford to lose.
Before you tap Buy: a short safety checklist
These checks come from Fomo's own token labels and scam tips.
- Blue checkmark? It means the Fomo team reviewed the token. It is not a guarantee.
- "Unverified" popup? Fomo is telling you to be cautious and do your own research.
- Any warning label? Warnings flag risky signs, such as a contract that blocks selling, an illiquid pool or removed liquidity. Treat them as a reason to stop, not a box to click past.
- Enough liquidity? Each token page shows liquidity data. Thin liquidity can make a token hard to sell at a fair price.
- Who holds it? Check holder concentration. If a few wallets hold most of the supply, their selling can sink the price.
- Did it just appear in your wallet? Ignore tokens that show up uninvited.
- Asked to connect your wallet somewhere? Be careful what you connect it to.
- Can you afford to lose this amount? If not, buy less or skip it.

What a buy costs: 100 USDC vs 400 USDC on Solana
Fomo's spot fee is 0.50% per trade, or 0.45% with any referral code. On Solana, Fomo pays the gas, priority fees and token rent, but small trades have minimums. On the lowest-fee route, a trade from 47.50 to 190 USDC costs a flat 0.95 USDC, and from 190 USDC up the percentage rate applies.
| Buy on Solana | Fomo fee | Fee as a share of the trade |
|---|---|---|
| 100 USDC | 0.95 USDC (the minimum) | 0.95% |
| 400 USDC | 1.80 USDC (0.45% with a code) | 0.45% |
The smaller buy pays more than twice the rate. Fomo doesn't say whether the code's 10% lowers these minimums, so the 0.95 USDC is shown as listed. Some tokens also carry a contract fee set by their creator, separate from Fomo's fee.
Don't forget the exit. If the 400 USDC position is still worth 400 USDC when you sell, the sale costs another 1.80 USDC, so about 3.60 USDC for the round trip. With code DEAL, 12.5% of the Fomo fees on both trades comes back in USDC from the code owner: about 0.45 USDC on that round trip. Full fee tables: Fomo fees.

Questions
How does the Fomo app work?
You add money to one cash balance and trade tokens on seven networks from it. Fomo routes each trade and shows its fee before you confirm.
Do you need your own crypto wallet?
No. Fomo sets up a Solana wallet and an EVM wallet when you register. You can't import an existing wallet, but you can export your private key from Settings.
Can you buy meme coins without the app?
Yes. The web version at fomo.family needs no download, and you log in with the same Apple ID or Google account.
